The haunted house part 2
The Smiths had always been drawn to the old Victorian mansion on Elm Street. Despite its reputation for being haunted, they couldn't resist the charm and character of the sprawling estate.
As they moved in, strange things began to happen. Doors creaked open and shut on their own, and the sound of footsteps echoed down the hallway at night.
At first, they dismissed it as the typical creaks and groans of an old house, but soon, the occurrences grew more frequent and more intense.
One night, Mrs. Smith woke up to find a figure standing in her bedroom doorway. It was a woman in a long, flowing gown, her eyes black as coal.
The figure vanished as quickly as it appeared, but Mrs. Smith was shaken. She tried to convince her husband to leave, but he was skeptical.
As the days went by, the haunting grew stronger. Objects moved on their own, and the sound of whispers filled the air.
One night, Mr. Smith disappeared. His wife searched the house frantically, but he was nowhere to be found.
It wasn't until she heard his voice, whispering her name from the attic, that she realized the horrifying truth.
The house had him, and it would never let him go.
Mrs. Smith fled the house, never to return. But the legend of the haunted mansion lived on, a cautionary tale of the horrors that lurked within its walls.
Years later, brave paranormal investigators decided to explore the abandoned house. They entered the attic, where they found a series of ancient symbols etched into the walls.
As they gazed upon the symbols, they felt a presence around them. The air grew cold, and the whispers began.
Suddenly, the symbols began to glow, and the investigators saw the face of Mr. Smith, his eyes black as coal.
They tried to flee, but it was too late. The house had them, and they became its latest victims.
The haunted mansion remained standing, waiting for its next victims, its dark legacy forever etched in the town's history.
